Harvard 4th of July Art Contest
It’s time once again for the 4th of July T-shirt art contest! Students who live or study in Harvard, up to age 18, are welcome to participate.
|2018 Theme Front of Shirt:||Harvard Has History|
|Back of shirt:||WWI Armistice Centennial|
|1918 – 2018|
Deadline Friday, February 16, 2018
Submit artwork that speaks to the theme: Harvard Has History –
WWI Armistice Centennial 1918-2018. Get creative! If you need a little inspiration, the WWI memorial in Harvard is the American flag in the town common. They just got a new bronze plaque for the anniversary. You can also Google WWI medals or art and design.
Participants can submit as many drawings as they choose. There will be drop boxes at the front desk of HES and Bromfield as well as a box at the Harvard General Store.
IMPORTANT: Use an 8 ½” X 11” sheet of white unlined paper. Make sure the drawings are clear and large enough to see the detail. The drawings submitted must be in black ink on a white background. The line thickness should be equivalent to a medium-point Sharpie so we can reproduce the drawing for print. Please include child’s name and parent’s contact info on the back of the artwork so we can alert the winners.
NEW PRIZE: The winners will receive two free tickets to the New England Aquarium in Boston! Winners of the art contest will have their artwork displayed on the 2018 4th of July tee shirts. You can also ride in a convertible in the parade. All artwork that is submitted for the contest will be featured on the town Fourth of July website at Harvard4thofJuly.com.
